Bon Ton Roulet July 2016

A 7 day bike ride in the NY Fingerlakes, about 450 miles, typically 55-65 mi/day. This ride varies from year to year, covering different lakes and destinations, leading to a variety of rides over the 6 years I have done them. Some years have more hills, especially the years where the ride is more southerly. I particularly like the use of local colleges (Hobart and Wells this year) for multiple night stays and the use of their cafeterias for breakfast and dinner. Lunch is typically on "your own" along the way.

Tent city with my blue tent.

Mostly farm land between the lakes

With riding buddy, Steve Breit from Boston.

Later in the ride, I covered my tent with aluminized Mylar to block the sun

Sunset above the tents.
