The weather turned cold as we biked further north, and there were several days of rain from the time we got on the bike until we reached the hotel.

There was 1 rider from Australia, 1 from New Zealand, 1 from Ireland, 4 from the US, and the rest from England and Scotland. If this were an American company, they would most likely all be from the US, and I would have missed the diverse views and backgrounds on politics, books, biking, and especially, food and beer.
Before the reader gets too impressed with my prowess and energy, I will admit that I rented an eBike, which provided just the extra boast on hills and long days (all days were 50-70 miles, on the bike at 9 and off about 6 hours later) to allow me to finish the day less than exhausted. Plenty of pedaling was still required; an eBike is not a scooter.
