Back in sunny Tucson Nov 2022 to April 2023

Happy to be back. Each year gets better as we know more people, both locals and winter visitors, know more restaurants to like, know more things to do, although we are avoiding crowds. The politics are more comfortable with the Republican Governor Ducey gone (the last thing he did was illegally put shipping containers at the Border to the tune of $200M) and a Democratic Governor, Hobbs, in place as well as Democrats in the offices of Attorney General and Secretary of State (oversees elections). Mark Kelley was elected as Senator but there are still issues that need to be changed: AZ is 48th in funding for public education and 1st in money going to charter schools. We can help from now on as we are changing our residency to AZ from MD this year, although will be back in MD for almost 6 mo each year..

The house weathered our 6 month absence beautifully. Food in the chest freezer was well preserved (had a 6 mo old bagel and lox from the freezer on arrival and they were fine).

Lynne is always busy with her writing assignments and editorships (check out her Wikipedia page) and I am on the bike 4+ mornings a week, doing 4 book clubs (one is in Tucson), our Baltimore film group, dabbling in watercolors, relearning to read Hebrew, and cooking most dinners (Lynne does great salads and baking for desserts).
